with what it’s like to be me i will never understand what is happening around me i can truly see, through the veil that surrounds me. and i need to wash away my sins as i try to fall asleep i’m held at the edge of my dreams it’s this uphill struggle, with no end in sight. every fucking day i feel at a crossroads, all directions saying ‘’it will be alright” but where does this cobbled road end the constant fight to do what’s right for myself. i don’t know how but i need help. you told me to never give up but you gave up on me you push and pull the weight of my conscience it was always you and me with no end in sight with no end in sight i won’t let you have the power over me with time, i will heal with love, i will learn to feel without you, i’d make myself proud without you, i’m on my own now and what it’s like to be me i will never understand what is happening around me i can’t truly see through the veil that surrounds me i can truly see what was always denied to me the golden opportunity lost in disparity.
